The car is on axle stands awaiting parts, so I decided to tackle some rust in the boot/trunk. The spare wheel well had some bad surface rust, I grinded it off and treated with rust stopper, this I painted over with hammerite.&lt;br /&gt;This should hold ok, however there is a corner seam in the trunk floor. It didn't look too bad , however on grinding it off I was left with some holes. It's 25 years old, and I have it 3 years now. It only gets used in the summer so it hibernates 6 months of the year.&lt;br /&gt;When I got it, I fitted electronic ignition, larger jets, k and n filters and a large bore exhaust.&lt;br /&gt;So now it starts easily and sounds good too!&lt;br /&gt;The problems have been, track control arms needed replacing.&lt;br /&gt;The steering rod gaiters were shot so they got replaced.&lt;br /&gt;A water leak at the pump which was hard to fix.&lt;br /&gt;All rubber hosing has been replaced.&lt;br /&gt;Carbeurettors rebuilt, with new mounts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The problems at the moment are, a rattling tie rod on the rear suspension. Upon taking apart bolts were found to be worn, new ones on order.
